Cheapest LocoRoco 2

This sequel to the oddball hit Loco Roco falls in the categories of both "whimsical" and "eccentric". It's not a puzzle game, but you need to solve puzzles. It's not a twitch game, but from time to time, the way you twiddle the triggers is everything. It's not ultra-realistic, and yet physics is an important part of gameplay.

In Loco Roco 2, a world of cute creatures made from simple shapes has been overrun with some odd colorless creatures from another world. They've corrupted the color with black blobs and it's up to you to put things right. You play a cute little yellow blob that grows bigger as it finds things to eat. Movement in Loco Roco 2 consists of using the shoulder buttons to tilt the world this way or that and make your blob hop up and down--and it comes down to timing the tiliting/sliding action with the hops to get the blob to go where you want it to. Your cute little blob is made up of (and can break itself into) bunches of little blobs, and from time to time that is exactly how you have to get through parts of each level. Levels vary enough to be interesting, with sliding on ice, bobbing on water, or slipping through pachinko-like tunnels in "little-blob" form enjoyable.

Everything seems simplistic on the surface, but it can get fairly complicated if you're one of those people who wants to experience it all: hidden areas, minigames, alternate side goals and more are embedded in the game. You can replay levels, and the levels can "Level Up" which apparently makes it easier for you to find more goodies. You also find other characters who become playable as you go along, with slight differences in how they behave.

This colorful, simple-shape world is backed by a soundtrack reminiscent of Sesame Street: it's very childlike and cheery. While you're playing the game, it adds to the experience. However, I've found that anyone *not* playing Loco Roco 2 who gets within earshot finds it annoying (and I can't imagine buying the soundtrack CD that's offered here and actively listening to it outside of the game). Children will most likely enjoy this game, but smaller children who are just getting into gaming would probably have a hard time understanding some of what is expected of them: they'd probably be more prone to tilting the PSP and expecting things to roll or slide than they would be able to figure out the shoulder-button mechanics. I expect that the very small will enjoy watching big brother or sister (or mom or dad) while they play, as its Baby-Einstein graphics can make Loco Roco 2 almost hypnotic at times.

If you like a bit of puzzling and don't mind a bit of arcade button-mashing, Loco Roco 2 will provide you a gaming experience that strays outside of the mainstream. Its content is definitely safe for children, and makes a nice break from the typical, "you have bad guys, and you have to shoot/kill/explode/bop 'em on the head" gameplay mechanic that permeates many games. Its eccentric style may not be for everyone, and its soundtrack may overrun your tolerance for sweetness, but I think it's just part of an excellently-crafted package. I haven't found everything (or even completely beaten) Loco Roco 2 yet, but I definitely see myself getting there.Get more detail about LocoRoco 2.

Cheap Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow

This is the follow up to Dark Mirror and it plays like a true sequel. Everything you enjoyed
about Dark Mirror is here and then some. You have cooler weapons and some designed for
sub-merged combat. Yes, you can go underwater in this adventure in both single-player campaign and
multi-player. In the Single game, there is an interesting back story that gives motivation to the
main character Gabe Logan. You don't have to play the first game to understand but it helps. I'm
glad they do enough to keep you up to speed. I really enjoy the versatility in the missions. It's
not just run and gun. In fact, I have found that when I use stealth in certain situations, I'm more
effective since it doesn't alert more bad guys to the party. I'm glad you have that option.
The graphics are great, much like the first one, it really makes use of the psp potential that a
lot of games don't use. I would describe the multi-player as glorious. I don't remember the last time
I used that word but that's what comes to mind in Infrastructure mode. So many levels to choose from which
include some from the first game including Shanty Town. Only this time, it's flooded so you can swim around
the evironment in certain areas, it's incredible!
It gets all 5 stars because compared to other PSP titles, this has more depth and plenty of fun to be had.
Re-playability comes from Mission Mode or going online in Infrastructure Mode. I like grappling with an enemy
and using him as a human shield. That's one of the new features you should check out.Get more detail about Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow.

Buying LittleBigPlanet

I am not a huge gamer when it comes to video games. I have my favorites to be sure, but it's a small group. I have had other handheld gaming systems and while I enjoyed them I grew tired of them because they were so limited and boring. The graphics weren't great, but then what could I expect? But now I have a reason to have another handheld gaming system... LITTLE BIG PLANET. My DIL introduced me to the game when I was visiting them in March. I'd never heard of it till then. Yes, I know not exactly cutting edge, am I? However, I was intrigued by the little Sackperson and the world they traveled in and when I got home from my trip (wish I'd had it on the trip for the many hours of flying I did) I bought it. I just love it. It may not be for everyone's tastes, but it is exactly the kind of game I like and it's so different from games I've played in the past and I love Stephen Fry's narration. I'm sure people watching me must wonder what I am giggling about. He is a hoot!Get more detail about LittleBigPlanet.

Order PSP Component AV Cable

I just recieved this item today and I was really happy that I could finally play my PsP on my TV... Untill I noticed there was no video cord.

I'm sure this is mentioned before, but if you only have the normal YELLOW/RED/WHITE hookup, this item isn't worth the buy unless you already plan on getting a wide screen LCD/High Definition TV in the future. Best one to use for normal TV sets is the COMPOSITE cable, not the COMPONIENT one.Get more detail about PSP Component AV Cable.

Shop For Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

I picked this game up after hearing good praise for it. After spending a few hours with the game I'm hooked on the game. I never imagined the game would be so indepth even down to cooking the raw meat. I saw that it has 500 hours of gameplay so it looks like I only scratched the surface, and I'm sure it only gets better. Well worth the $20 I spent.Get more detail about Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.

MLB 10 The Show

Let me ask all the 1 Star reviewers, compared to MLB 2K10 would you still rate this game 1 Star. I would assume not because 2k10 for PSP is the biggest piece of trash to enter the baseball gaming market. The Show is just a really fun game to play with really great controls and movements. I enjoy it, I really do not care too much about the roster updates because I understand the business aspect of it. If they gave you a new roster every year would anyone buy new games, I think not. It is a little pricey and that's why it did not get the 5 stars but the game is really solid and I really enjoy playing it. I had MLB 2K10 first and I almost threw it out the window it annoyed me so much. Its worth a purchase if you enjoy a nice season of baseball on the plane or on the go. If you want to play online and do all these things then you should probably invest into a PC/PS3. PSP is called portable for a reason so you have something to do on the go.Get more detail about MLB 10 The Show.

PSP 3000 Limited Edition Gran Turismo Entertainment Pack - Silver Review

It's very fun, there are lots of cars to choose from, lots of tracks to race in, and it plays very great, even for a handheld game! People claim it gets boring after a while, but I never thought so. Each car handles differently, and is always a challenge when you buy a new car! The PSP works fine as well, definitely better than the older models! I was very pleased with this product!Get more detail about PSP 3000 Limited Edition Gran Turismo Entertainment Pack - Silver.

Killzone: Liberation This instant

I love this game. I am not normally the type of person who really enjoys games of any type. (Althought I am a member of the recent guitar hero craze.) But I bought this game after spending almost three hours on my younger cousin's psp. This game is the reason why I bought the psp. I reached the third level just today. Great game if you like to stratagize in a shooter game.
I am looking forward to adding more games to my collection. This is a great game and I really want them to add a third game. Love it.Get more detail about Killzone: Liberation.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions Get it now!

I played this back on the PS1 back in the old days and was hoping that this would have an update.

Unfortunately, the graphics are still archaic and fuzzy, and the random battles moving back-and-forth are still so painstakingly difficult and long that it is worthwhile to reload the game hoping that you won't run into another one, which was the same problem I had many years ago. Furthermore, the spells and skill effects slow the framerate to a crawl. They look pathetic (graphically) and there is absolutely no reason that this should be happening. This only serves to antagonize and test one's patience to the limit.

Even the problem of telling you a half-tutorial with each action still persists, such as the game telling you to select a square to move to when you select 'Move'. Again, there is no reason that this should be there and personally I feel my intelligence is being insulted because every time that stupid window pops up, "I KNOW WHAT MOVE DOES!!!" goes through my already frustrated brain.

Even the AI seems to be worse than in the original. In the third story mission on Mandalia Plains, the hostage got himself killed in the second move rushing into the enemy despite receiving heavy damage all three times I played it. Placing a healer as close to him in the beginning didn't help because it was impossible to reach him in one move with the chemist's slow and limited movement. This rendered the second dialogue choice an impossibility without getting a Game Over, and not only does this shatter the playability of the game but it takes along any fun that could be had with it.

All of this coming after playing Jeanne D' Arc is nothing short of a complete letdown. If you have the free time of a grade or middle school child and enduring patience, by all means play this game because there is a decent combat system and a great story to be had. But if you are someone like me who, after getting used to good and responsive game design and controls and recognizing what good or bad game design is, playing the PSP version of FFT will seem so slow that it will seem like a waste of precious hours.Get more detail about Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions.

PSP UMD Case Buy Now

As another reviewer stated, this is exactly what I was looking for. It has a nice oblong form and holds a large number of UMDs economically. It slips nicely into a backpack or storage pocket. The device uses magnets to close and to hold the UMDs in place, which works beautifully. The discs are easy to remove yet still held firmly in place so they don't fall out.

I could do without the accordian design, though it is by no means a problem, just not my preference. The hinges are a little wonky to close in that they can get stuck or feel awkward if you move them in the "wrong" motion. If you go through the "correct" motion, the hinges moves smoothly and it closes satistyingly.Get more detail about PSP UMD Case.

PSP Home And Travel Charger Decide Now

This is by far the worst AC adapter I've had for a portable gaming system. It barely charges the battery + it's life span is incredibly short. Discount Dissidia Final Fantasy

Dissidia: Final Fantasy is for the fans. That is obvious from the moment one places the disc in the PSP. From the characters to the worlds, the game was made for fans of the series, whether they be newcomers like me or longtime loyalists. Though RPG or action gamers may be able to pick up the game and learn it, it is easier to digest when one is familiar with the series.

The story is pretty awful, there's no doubt about it. There are rumors that there are a number of canceled story arcs that nearly made it into this game, which is unfortunate, as this is really the only drawback. How did these characters all get here, and why do they not ever really question it? Apparently, it all has to do with some god of discord, Chaos, and the goddess of harmony, Cosmos, who have been at war for millennia. All the key villains and heroes of the series are here, from the infamous Cloud and Sephiroth to the not-as-well-known, but just as beloved Firion and the Emperor. Now, there is no doubt the game was crafted as though it were an old friend - pitting various villains and heroes against one another never gets old, and some of the exchanges they have with one another, dialogue-wise, is quite entertaining. The problem is, ninety-five percent of the cutscenes are horrendous to watch for one reason or another.

Story aside, however, the entertainment value is high enough to overshadow it. Leveling up characters, especially the villains, becomes addicting fast. Busting up the arenas and unleashing violent combos is quite amusing. Getting backed into corners and then railed on by the sometimes-too-intelligent AI is not so pleasant, though it does not happen too often. Sending an opponent flying into the wall with one well-aimed swing of Masamune is especially satisfying. The story mode is sufficiently challenging even for veteran players; what's better is that characters being used in story mode can be leveled up outside of it using the Quick Battle function. Without a doubt, this game can easily waste your weekends, and there will be little to no guilt involved.

It is unfortunate that the idea of Yuna and Seymour being in the game rather than Tidus (tee-dus? I still call him tie-dus) and Jecht. After all, most of these storylines were sufficiently closed in their original games. Cloud still moping and fighting Sephiroth is... anguishing at best, though Sephiroth probably has a better reason for it than Cloud. Tidus and Jecht had zero emotional impact, as their story has already been wrapped up, and neatly so. There was no reason for them to be fighting again: Tidus had forgiven his father and moved on.

Still, the game is one of the best for the PSP, hands down, and at least worth borrowing or renting. Though the story drags and has very little impact, the sheer enjoyment one gets from playing this game for hours on end greatly overshadows any unpleasant feelings garnered from this insignificant aspect.Get more detail about Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Cheap Lunar: Silver Star Harmony Limited Edition

For summary and pros/cons, skip to the bottom.

Put the pitchfork down. This is not a bash against LUNAR "the game". This is a solid review of this version of LUNAR. But before I get into any of that, let me lay everything out in case you've never played (or heard of) LUNAR before.

LUNAR is a game designed by Game Arts. As you can easily see, it has origins in Japan, and is considered as close to JRPG as you can get. Game Arts has released many such games, and almost all of them eventually died off; LUNAR is really the only one that lasted past a first episode. It started wayyyyyy back on the Sega CD with a game called LUNAR: The Silver Star. Since then, LUNAR has seen one true sequel (LUNAR: Eternal Blue), a couple of offshoots, most of which we never saw in the US (i.e. LUNAR: Dragon Song, Magic School LUNAR!, LUNAR: Walking School, and LUNAR: Genesis), and more remakes than I care to mention in this review (four!). Silver Star in particular has been released on Sega CD, PlayStation, Sega Saturn, and now PSP, not including LUNAR Legend which was a horrible handheld version that didn't do the main series justice. A company called Working Delays...err...Designs, was most notable in bringing some of the LUNAR games stateside, but their biggest problem was the extreme delay in releasing games. Regarding LUNAR: Silver Star Story Complete (the PlayStation version of this game), it took nearly 2 years from the first announcement before the game was released.

It wasn't all a wash, because for that delay you ended up with a complete package that no game publisher has ever managed to even come close to. Silver Star Story Complete came with a cloth map, a hardcover color book, a soundtrack CD, and color foil packaging - you really felt as though a lot of care and consideration went into making the game. Additionally, Working Designs went out of its way to perfect its craft for translation and vocal arrangements, including comedy straight out of the here and now. Bill Clinton jokes were all over the place, campy humor abound, and even some borderline inappropriate statements made to the female characters. It was an amazing experience from beginning to end, and at the time, the ultimate gaming experience for RPG fans. Before all of the various remakes got released, Silver Star Story Complete garnered prices hovering near $200, because people really wanted the game after experiencing it for the first time.

In Silver Star, you play out the story of Alex, a young boy who dreams of becoming the next Dragonmaster and going on epic adventures like Dyne, the previous Dragonmaster. Luna, the young girl your parents adopted and who has been with Alex's entire life, is an expert singer, mesmerizing the townsfolk with her songs. Along the way, you'll meet various friends who help you in your cause, and experience the loss of others as the story pans out. Speaking candidly, the game itself is solid: You relate very well to the characters, as their development was done perfectly. There's never an instance where you wonder what a character is about or why they're doing what they're doing. Additionally, various cutscenes pepper the game, allowing you to experience more of the story without interaction as you play the game. The battle engine was basic, but enthralling, because it allowed you to control just how badly you got taxed by certain bosses by way of the skills and defending/moving around the field. There were strategic elements that set it apart from other RPGs in the same time period.

All of that sounds great, doesn't it? I went on forever about how great it is, so why did I ding it a star? Well, you need to understand that I'm not reviewing this as a standalone game, because it's effectively the same game as the previous remakes, and therein lies the problem. This isn't Working Designs anymore, and it shows. A lot of content was either changed, cut or just plain done wrong in this release, and while I personally was not satisfied with what I got, I can't ding it any more than a star, because at its core it is the same basic gameplay. It's more storyline where the drastic changes got made, with some slight aesthetic butcherings. Rather than go on any longer than I did above, I'll just bullet it out for you.

*/* What LUNAR: Silver Star Harmony Does RIGHT (compared to Silver Star Story Complete) */*

- SSSC was three discs; this is just one UMD/download. That alone is impressive.

- No need to track down the hidden bromides; if you get the Limited Edition they're all there in card form.

- The town music remixes were actually quite well done.

- Hmm...how to say this without spoiling..."you don't need the Ocarina this time". A BIG plus.

- No more Nall side inventory. There was a SSSC demo that gamers could use to then carry over to the actual game, but it had a glitch. If you moved Alex's Ocarina to Nall and forgot to move it back when you played the actual game, you couldn't finish the game. BIG problems with that one.

- I can't help but deny that the majority of the graphics were improved signfiicantly, especially for the dragons. Also, sprite animations are excellent, especially the characters when attacking.

- Portable. Quite possibly the most well rounded of the portable games and seemingly a perfect fit for the PSP.

- New Arts attacks give your characters an edge that you never had before.

- They fixed Myght's Tower, where on SSSC they gave you that sun/moon/star/planet puzzle but didn't actually give you the clue you needed.

*/* What LUNAR: Silver Star Harmony Does WRONG (compared to Silver Star Story Complete) */*

- They sectioned off the towns, and it has to load as you access each section. Very annoying.

- There's a load every time you enter or exit battle.

- There's a load every time a cutscene begins.

- Did I mention load times???

- There is a slow fade effect when beginning or ending battles, in addition to the load time. This results in a VERY slow experience to something that used to be lightning quick.

- Alex and friends no longer walk as fast as they used to, even with the run button.

- Extremely stingy with the experience. I beat the game at level 37 and that's with grinding. On SSSC you could easily get to at least 45 without breaking a sweat.

- The full 3D really causes issues with navigation sometimes, because it's hard to tell where a wall begins and a floor ends on some areas.

- Every town, cave, dungeon, and castle has been redrawn, so even if you memorized exactly where the bar is in a town, it's likely in a totally different location now. Same goes for chests where you distinctly remember where it was on SSSC.

- Bromide locations and requirements changed; not all, but some. Still annoying. Essentially you're buying half of them. That defeats the challenge of finding them.

- Dialogue is more tame. A LOT more tame. None of it is really edgy anymore like it used to be. I can understand killing the Clinton jokes, but at least a Bush joke would have been nice.

- Some cutscenes were removed. This REALLY annoyed me, especially since the back of the game claimed that there was "more" to the story. Notable mention: Quark lifting his head slowly, blinking, and saying "My friends...."

- Loading/Saving glitches; every now and then I would save the game, sleep the PSP, wake it up later only to find the game literally frozen. It happened at least four times, after which I stopped using the sleep mode.

- Some of the voice actors are terrible compared to the SSSC counterparts. Notable mentions: Ghaleon, Nall, Ramus, Mel. IMO, Ghaleon is inexcusable.

- This "Limited Edition" Packaging is pathetic. Bromide cards and a soundtrack CD that looks like it was printed on someone's Lexmark is not a true limited edition. These guys need to go back and study Working Designs' early works.

So....do I recommend it? Yes. Even though I have those negatives, they really don't impact how great the game is at its core. The only thing that would really affect you if you've never played LUNAR are the load times and the save glitch. Beyond that you will probably not think twice on what I said. LUNAR is a must-play game, and honestly, I say that you should track down Silver Star Story Complete as it's absolutely the superior version. But if all you care about is playing the game, albeit portably, this is definitely worth the money. If you played the older remake then you know what to expect going into this.Get more detail about Lunar: Silver Star Harmony Limited Edition.

Buying Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

This game really changed my opinion of Zack. In the original FF7, he didnt seem to do much. In fact, his classification as "SOLDIER 1st Class" seemed exaggerated.

Not anymore! His character really shines in this game. Plus, we really get to understand his relationship with Aeris (I spell her name this way coz thats the way it was spelled in the original FF7. I dont care how many times they try to correct me - this is the name I'll remember forever) and Cloud.

The battle system will seem awkward at first. It is kinda like a cross between old-school RPG action-selection and real-time-action where you control the characters movements and dodging. It time however, the system becomes really natural.

Another awkward thing that I found is the limit break system. Gone are the days where you charge up and select what limit break skill you wanna use. Now it occurs randomly. Even which limit break you use is random. However, limit breaks occur ALOT.

Overall, the game is an instant classic. The storyline is stellar. When I finished the game, I had to recuperate the emotional heartache for a few hours at work. Thats how a good game is supposed to be.Get more detail about Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII.

Buy Naruto Shipuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3

By: Midori from Hokage's room

Ultimate ninja heros's 3 is a game that really lives up to it's title.

Graphics wise it's easily among the best games the psp has to offer. If I didn't know better I wouldn't even think it was a portable game in the first place as it easily looks as good if not better then Ultimate ninja 4 on Ps2.

Gameplay wise the controls are the same as ever, but why fix what isn't broken? And the Music is as rocken as ever.

The biggest improvement by far is character selection. With Young Kakashi, Obito and many more new characters to use at your finger tips, each one with their own unique special moves.

Over all I grade Ultimate Ninja Hero's 3 an A+Get more detail about Naruto Shipuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3.

Order God of War Chains of Olympus

So I'm not a doctor or in the medical field in any way. This game gives me one of the worst hand cramps ever. I'm not even passed the 2nd level and already I'm frustrated beyond replaying in the next 2 weeks.

The whole problem is a combination of the PSP's awkward positioning of the Joystick and the fact that this game does not let us change the controls. Plus it required 4 buttons to be pressed simultaneously to dodge (R1+L1+X+Joystick), and you'd have to do that ALOT. You can imagine the pain your hand has to go through to do all that.

However, this game is rated as the 2nd best game of the psp. So, if you dont mind the hand cramps, or are a HUGE action or God of War fan, this game is highly recommended (and i KNOW americans love God of War).

The case is good, solid and seems durable as expected, it fits the PSP model and all specs in the page are as shown. However be aware that the strap that suppoused to keep the PSP on the case has a small area to attach it so there is a space of about 1/4 inch between the PSP and the cover and seems to weak that if you by mistake twist the case, it is possible that the weight of the PSP will make the strap to open and the PSP could fall.Get more detail about PSP Super Travel Case With Pockets.
