I played the PSP version of Tomb Raider: Legend before I played it on any other console and I enjoyed it a lot! The UMD Disc seems like it is completely filled up with this game! It has everything the console versions have and more! It includes extra outfits and extra multiplayer challenges. Treasure Hunt is finding treasures scattered around levels seen in the game and new environments. Beat The Clock is getting to the finish line with many obstacles in the way and it has many different obstacles to choose from. The controls aren't the best for PSP, but you get used to them after a while. The game has a great story which is concluded in Tomb Raider: Underworld. The Con represents a different kind of fighting game, one that not everyone will be comfortable with. Unlike the legion of fighting games that function as 2D fighters in a 3D (or 2D!) world, this one is delightfully different.

First, you have the option of creating you. Any kind of you you like for this game. Male, Female, with lots of other customization options. You even pick fighting style, height, weight, and build. You set up how you want you combinations to flow and what you look like. At the end, you have a competent fighter. Perhaps not a world-beater, but someone you can proudly stand beside and feel safe in an alleyway.

It has a unique 'betting' mechanic for the story mode, allowing you to gain more money on fights to afford that throwback or kicks you so desperately need to create the look for your unique fighter. Like all fighting games, the ability to get these things can seem tedious after a while, but it is a shrewd way to reward players who like to handicap themselves or are looking for a challenge. By holding your bet for later in the match and allowing your opponent to pound on you, you can earn more money. The inverse is also true! Want to take a dive and get financially rewarded? Bet on your opponent and make him/her look good in battle!

The game has RPG elements as well. Remember earlier when I'd mentioned that your character is unique and competent? Well, as you win through the story tournament in the game, you gain experience and the ability to train your statistics, unlocking hidden potential and additional moves with which to lay the smack down. Do you dare push the training at the cost of resting up from your previous fight? This is rarely a problem early on, but can develop later, especially as you get close to the top of a ranking.

The combat system is actually quite interesting, as it puts the player in a three-quarters behind-the-back view, allowing for full-view of the action. Instead of moving, your character dodges left and right, leans away or ducks. Attacks by you or your opponent will move both fighters, but staying more or less where you are and dodging left and right is strategy. Not only can you avoid certain hits by doing so, you can also open up opportunities and modifications to your standard moveset by doing so. Aside from you basic fighting moves, you also have access to "Special" (more powerful) moves triggered by dual-keying square and cross and "Supers" (most powerful) triggered by dual-keying triangle and circle. There is also a button for blocking and countering and one to actually TAKE HITS (to further the con of making odds for the betting) and deliver FAKE HITS to the opponent.

There are some blemishes to be aware of. The control scheme is good, but awkward when first using it. It takes some getting used to and there's precious little tutorial to teach you some of the basic tricks to "conning The Con" so to speak (for example, you can string a combination into a special move or super if you know what you're doing). Also, like every fighting game, eventually it starts to feel "grindy." A deeper (or more interactive) story mode would've helped with this. Cheesy and limited voiceovers - you either love them or you hate them. I happen to love them, your mileage may vary. Note that the generic fighters (your own created fighter included) share the same vocals and sounds, also.

In all, The Con is a game worth getting at $[...], and if you're any sort of fighting fan (especially a fan of more realistic or especially "gritty" style cinematic fighting) you will find something to enjoy for a while with this game.Get more detail about The Con.

Crush Top Quality

If you want to take a break from mindless shooting and action games, this is the game for you. Sure, you have to think, but the sense of accomplishment will have you craving for more.

There are 40 stages, of varying difficulty, and although the latter stages are gruelingly difficult, completing them makes you feel very good about yourself. Unlike some other puzzlers (echochrome!), failing didn't make me feel dumb. Crush is challenging without being overwhelming (e.g. insane levels on Gripshift). Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast Immediately

I'd place this game on a par with Ridge Racer. The graphics are appealing, but frankly the PSP can do better - and has on games such as Burnout or Wipeout. The music is a mixed bag. A few of the driving tunes are rocking, but some are downright annoying. The steering controls are a bit sloppy, but you can make do.

If you're like me, the most attractive thing about the PSP is it is essentially a portable PS2; as such, I like to have games that are quality play experiences that I can also take with me and start and stop when I want. Warriors Orochi 2 is just the thing - if you are a fan of the Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warriors franchises by Koei, Warriors Orochi 2 is a worthy successor of both.

I have played Samurai Warriors and Dynasty Warriors games on a number of platforms (PS2, PS3, PSP) and, in general, loved the PS2 and PS3 versions. However, I always found the PSP versions of those two games (Samurai Warriors State of War and Dynasty Warriors Vol 2) to be lacking: they were too compartmentalized and didn't allow you to roam around the battlefield like you could in the console versions.

Warriors Orochi 2 clears up the sins of past PSP Samurai/Dynasty Warriors games and adds some great new twists; those of you familiar with the PS2 version of Dynasty Warriors 5 will find a lot to like in Warriors Orochi 2 - the characters and gameplay are more similar to that game than to Dynasty Warriors 6 which, in my view, was over-complicated with too little reward for your time.

In Warriors Orochi 2, the casts of both the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors universes have been brought together to battle the serpent demon Orochi; this gives the game more than 96 playable characters (including the dread Orochi himself). When playing in Story Mode, you choose three characters to be your strike team. You can use them interchangeable through each battle - while one fights, the other two regain health and Musou powers. In certain circumstances you can even bring out all three team members to perform devastation Musou attacks at once. The battlefields are full-sized, and there are often missions to accomplish during each battle; power-up items are liberally dropped and you can earn extra weapons, etc. One great feature of this game is the ability to customize and upgrade your weapons between battles; also, you can use experience points gained during battles to Level Up any character that you've unlocked.

The graphics are good - a little bit below high-grade PS2 graphics, but they look great on the PSP's screen, and the music and sound is great (unlike previous games, there are a lot of cutscenes and spoken dialogue before, during and after battles). Gameplay is repetitive (you'll be hitting the same three buttons a lot) but for those fans of previous games, you know that already. There is an in-game save feature also, which is wonderful for those of us on the go. The big problem with that, however, is that if you have an Interim Save and then you die, your progress in that mission is erased and you need to start from scratch; I'm not sure why they did that - it makes no sense. Also, unlike in some other games in the franchises, some of my favorite characters are unlockable, including Meng Huo, Zhu Rong, and the wily wizard Zuo Ci; almost all of the characters are easily unlockable simply by clearing missions - no next-to-impossible battle conditions to meet here. The focus on the game is just fun and not frustration. However, you'll definitely put in a lot of time leveling up your characters and getting them their best weapons, etc.

There are a couple of drawbacks to this game I should mention: first, the load times, which are frequent and often lengthy; this can be overcome via the game's Install feature, which lets you install the game's memory on your Memory Stick Duo to reduce the time it takes to load, but it can take at least 250+ MB to do so (if you want to go this route, you'll need at least a Sony 2 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Flash Memory Card MSMT2G). Another issue is that, right off the bat, you have only a very few characters to use; there are a lot to unlock, and this will take a lot of time. I was looking for some more T games for my PSP and came across this one. I bought it off of Ebay for $[...] and recieved it quickly. I don't know why I didn't buy this game a lot sooner! It is sooooo amazing and for the PSP too! When I started playing I couldn't believe my eyes! The graphics are soooo realistic and soooo good especially the hell-cycle, Ghost Rider, the Demons, and the bosses! The sound is really good too, because when you hit demons with your chain, they cry in pain and also the hell-cycle sounds like a real motorcycle! Ghost Rider has a whole bunch of combos to destroy demons! The hell-cycle levels are extremely action packed, fast, furious and fun! There are also 30 levels! 30! The bosses are also cool and strong! I'm only one-fifth of the way through, but so far it is just awesome! I recommend this game for any Ghost Rider fan, or PSP owner! Warhammer 40k: Squad Command

I enjoy this game. At times it seems a bit easy, but I have not really "explored" it enough or played it enough yet to know how hard the later levels get. It is based on the WARHAMMER 40,000 stories/games. Squad combat where you can more each of your men individually to accomplish the mission at hand. Mission #1 is to kill all of the rebels in this area. You can move each of your Space Marines and then fire on the enemy. You have to keep your men behind cover and you can have them "crouch" for extra cover...basic strategy. You can use flanking maneuvers and you have to remember to stay out of the enemy's line of sight or they will fire on you while you are moving.

You can play the campaign or battles.

If you are frustrated with lack of games for the psp, consider getting this one. It plays about identical to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1, except I actually like this one better. The only not good thing I can say is that I wish there would have been more characters to use/choose from. But the levels are very good, and the story line is great. If you liked Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 on the psp (have heard all bad things about MUA 2 on the psp), and if you need a reason to dust off your psp until the new Metal Gear and SOCOM 3 come out, I would highly recommend getting this game. Aliens vs. Predator Requiem Buy Now

Well, I had remembered hearing about this game when it first came out with the despicable movie it was tied in with. It looked a bit like a portable version of Predator: Concrete Jungle, which being a big Predator fan I had no problem with that. However once you get the game you quickly realize that all of the magic of hunting and stalking that you would or could have had is basically wasted because you just plain can't stalk the aliens in this game, if you're anywhere on the map they come and find you, which is nice but it takes away from the hunting aspect of it all.

HUGE note that I wish I would have been informed of when I bought this game. The Predator does not jump! Yes we will leap across gaps automatically if you run at them but mostly he's stuck to the ground for the entire game. Which might not be such a big deal to some folks but as old as this game is now anyone buying it is probably someone looking for P:CJ type action well this is not it. It's still pretty fun, you get all the sound effects and music, weapons and stuff that comes with the predator, it just really fails to put you in the predator from the movie's shoes. Now, for being a movie tie-in, this game, THANKFULLY, has almost nothing to do with it's namesake aside from the locale and basic story outline.

I am annoyed at Sony. If I was intersted in downloading a game, I would seek it out, or hope to see that option at the time of purchase from an on-line vendor - why have it shipped when you can simply download. This game was really designed more for a console than a hand held. The controls are difficult to use. Riding the horse is tough with the hand held controls. Aiming can also be an issue, especially when you need to do it quickly against moving targets. I love everything else about this game but the controls really make it so frustrating that ultimately it ruins the game.
